I've decided to visit Hickstead for the day tomorrow (Thurs).

This is the first time I'll have been. I haven't bought a ticket, so I'll pay on the gate.

I see on their website that there are two catagories of admission:

General and Membership

What does paying an extra £6 for Membership get you? Is it worth it?

Cheers

Members gets you into a different stand where you can sometimes see more, definetly at prize givings and generally the better jumps. Wouldn't say it was totally worth it! I tend to spend a lot of the day looking at outside rings anyway. I am also there tomorrow, but have blagged free tickets.

Actually think Nag Mag/Local rider may still have them so you may be able to get in free :)

Don't pay the full gate price!!! pick up a nagmag or horsemart and get the freebies just £8 for parking then.....IMHO the gate price just isn't worth it....

I have lots of Thurs and Friday free admissions I have cut out of the newspapers etc - you just have to pay for the parking £8 - I could of sent them to you!!!!!!!

NEXT MEETING IN JULY I'LL COLLECT A LOAD OF FREE ADMISSIONS AND THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED CAN PM ME AND SEND ME AN SAE - HOPE THAT HELPS.

BUT.....Try the following:

Go to newsagents nearby
June 17th The Middy or known as Mid Sussex Times (newspaper)
Page 16 free admission for 2 adults or children on Fri 25th or Sat 26th parking £8
The Middy is out eveny Thurs (tomorrow) and will probably have something again in there.

18th June Friday-Ad
Page 45 free admission for 2 adults or children on Sat 26th parking £8
Friday-Ad building is right next door on the roundabout
It sometimes comes out tomorrow or otherwise Fridays - there is bound to be some free tickets in this weeks

South Downs Living (June) free from Hassocks and surrounding areas
Page 33 free admission for 2 adults or children on Fri 25th or Sat 26th parking £8

Nagmags another free mag
Page ? (don't know its in the car) free admission for 2 adults or children on Thurs, 24th or Fri 25th parking £8

Local Rider is a mag which costs but can be purchased in newsagents in Hassocks, Bodle Bros Feed Merchants, Burgess Hill. Probably at the larger newsagents. I don't kow what day(s) they are offering.

The next meeting will be even better Royal Int'l Horse Show -
