I just heard that Hickstead sustained a light tendon injury in Wellington. Scans have shown it's not too serious,but there is uncertainty as to whether he will able to take part in World Cup final in Las Vegas.

what a bore and i wouldnt bloody well risk him. perhaps eric will rest him for a few months and then come to europe for the end of the global champions tour instead (says she ever hopeful!)

Well, they're offering him at stud now (for quite a price!) so perhaps that will give the owners incentive to rest him and less reason to pursue the WC. They've got great vets on board and deep pockets so I'm sure he's getting the best treatment possible. Let's hope he gets the best healer, time.
