hiding scars

has anyone got any ideas for covering hairless scars on a chestnut please? he has one on his bum and a newish one on his leg. (field injuries) the skin underneath is black, but you can plainly see a line of no hair. i wondered about a felt tip pen in the same colour as his coat might make it a bit less obvious. i brush the hair over the one on his bum, but its still obvious in his summer coat. my vet said to save some of his coat from clipping and make a stick on patch with it. bit fiddley as its quite thin!

If it's just to cover them when you compete etc. try make up - they do it in a chestnut colour:

Sadly the 'wig' wouldnt work as invariably it will stick out - either from wrong colour or length or just size.

The pen thing might work. - and some crafty Quarter marks!

What classes were you looking to show in?
How long are the scars - are we talking 20inch super size or 3 inch annoying mistakes?!

Would be interested in learning others ideas!
