Where did you get yours? I have looked on Ebay and could not find any, that is normally where I buy everything so don't know where else to look!

V-bandz it is then, thanks guys. I have been prompted to buy them from looking at recent photos on here. I am impressed how they increase visibility from the front. I always wear a tabard but if he decided to pop his head up just as a car is coming then that does not really help.

Apologies for hijacking the thread slightly but... I'd like to get something hi viz for my cobs head but unsure what. I've seen photos on a recent thread of a horse wearing a hi viz headcollar under the bridle, and plenty of ear cover photos :)

What kind of material are the ears made from? Do they get hot underneath? My cob is quite ear-shy, so was looking for possible alternatives...

Mmm, I've got some of these "flourescent ears" for my boy and he can be a bit stressy about his head but he wears these without any problem. They really are fantastic for hi-visibility plus keep the midges & flies away in the summer too!

The other thing you could do is to get one of the Endurance-type combination bridles which you can get in bright/hi-viz colours??? I've got one for my boy, got it from Performance Equestrian. You can always then fasten reflective tape to it as well to make it show in the car headlights.

Think it was probably my photo you saw. You can also get sleeves for the noseband and browband that would do a similar job. Have you a neck band for him? They're great if the horse throws his head up and obscures your tabard.

They don't appear to get hot underneath, Neddy has a pair and we wore them on the hottest day of the year! They're great for keeping flies away too. I noticed he was throwing his head around and getting stroppy, after I bought them, that stopped.

They really are fab :D I use them every ride now!
