i have been to look at a highbarn harrier lorry and am going back to look at it again tomorrow, i know they have since go out of business but does anyone have any experiance of there build quality etc ????
thank you

Until recently I had a Highbarn that I purchased from Select Horseboxes. I bought it new and had had it 3.5 years and was very pleased with the build quality. Highbarn didnt fit the living out but had done everything else. It wasn't the lightest of lorries weighing in at 6.1tonnes with a full tank of diesel and the water tanks full but it was sturdy and nothing had bent or broken on it. I used it at least twice a week for biggish horses and it stood up to the wear and tear well.

I would suggest that you get a weighbridge certificate for it and I am guessing that it you will no longer be able to tilt the cab though Highbarn built with an access flap at the back of the engine which you access from the living.

I was more than happy with mine and was rather upset when it was stolen!

I have a Highbarn Harrier, it is the best lorry ive ever owned even though it's a Harrier it has a full living for overnighters.
I bought it new 7 years ago, & i have no issues with it at all & it's been in relatively heavy use since the day i brought it home & still looks like new paintwork has stayed fab.
It's also a really lightweight lorry only weighing in at just over 5t unladen.
I really can't speak highly enough as ive been so pleased with mine.

No when it disappeared it was silver with blue and black graphics! I think the Harrier is a smaller one than the one I had, mine was the European. All in all I thought the build quality good, all the other Highbarn's I have seen have been good too, not just mine.

The smaller Highbarn is a Harrier which is a 7.5t stalled for 2 big horses lorry ,the bigger Highbarn is called a Continental which is stalled for 3.

I have a Harrier with a Continental living, without the shower i couldnt afford that at the time, however now i wished i could of.

this one is def the harrier i think, has no shower or toilet (we dont want 1 no one will empty it!!) but it is stalled for 3?

Mine was built to my own spec, if i didnt have the Toilet with internal tack room mine would have plenty of room for 3 big horses.
As it is it's a very spacious 2 stalled lorry.

Couldnt be without the loo, even if i have to empty it.

nearly all the big centres near us have lovely loos, and the county shows have bushes

someone should produce a show centre loo guide as it def can be hit or miss!!!!
