haven't been on here since sunday
because on monday night had to get vet out to sandy. He was ok in the morning when I checked them he was laying down but thats normal for sandy. so left them with thier hay and went off to college. Went down to the yard about 5pm to do them stopped at the field to check something was half way down when the other livery came running down the field saying sandy had still been laying down when she was mucking out but had got up and was shaking and his back leg was just hanging
so went up to the yard where he was standing in his stable shaking with his back right leg just hanging there, looked him over and he was all tuck up and ribby so called the vet who was with us with 30mins.
He looked him over gave him a pain killer he thinks he pulled or ripped his biceps femoris the muscel that runs down the bum. Vet said to leave him in yesterday and take him a walk but he made it out of his stable and about 10meters and then froze so put him back in and phoned vet again who said to see how he is tomorrow if he's not improved he'll come out again.
Poor sandy is just standing there with a stable rug on Yes a highland with a stable rug even the vet laughed but he was cold
he's getting bute twice a day.
He's never had the vet to him other than to get jabs in the 7 yrs we've had him.
