Has anyone been there for xc schooling or a competition ?
What did u think of the fences /course ?
Have they got a good selection of heights ??

Presume you mean the one in Ledbury?

They have a wide range of fences-pretty much everything u need

Heights vairy from 2ft 3 to around 3ft3/6?

Absolutely love it! (not been many other places so i've not seen the competition but I love Hilltop!)

The going is usally good too. The ground can take a lot of rain without turning into a bog.

It's great there - I've only ridden round it once but have fence judged there a couple of times and it's ace. Very well laid out, 3 heights for most of the jumps.

Until my boy went lame I competed there regularly its a real cross country course in as much there are uphill down hill flat etc and there is a good run between fences. Every Size of course from nervous knickers to cast iron pants. Walls rails palisades tyres ditches and they look after the take off and landing.

Only word of warning its usually a long way to secretary from horsebox field so if you go on your own you need to be fit for the jog backwards and forwards.

Iv'e been there schooling (to much of a woss to compete) and I thought it was an excellent course with a choice of height & 2 water areas . The only problem I had was that there was a fine gravel layer (probably has a proper name) around the take off area and my mare didn't like it under her hooves and kept trying to avoid it !
