Hi does anyone on here have a horse by this stallion.I have a new horse well have had him three months now and he is 2years old and standing at 16.2hh.The reason i ask is that he is being such a star to handle and do things with, when i got him he had been in a field and had not had alot done to him.He has been bitted and goes for walks and has a roller on,even on friday ithought i would put a saddle on and see how he coped with this did not bat a eye at this did the girth up took no notice and walked him out with the stirrups down took no notice at that.I am so pleased with him he really is very sweet i cant wait to break and back him next year.If you have got a horse by this stallion were they good to back and what are you doing with them now and how big are they not sure how big he will finally get.

I haven't got one by him but I have Hillview Farm Fleetwood so from the same stud. Totally sane, I broke him from nothing to me on his back in 20 mins. He was on his passport to make 16hh - he stopped growing at 17'2. I bought him from the stud at the high performance sales at Malvern as an unbroken 3 year old and he was a star to handle from day 1 although he had never been tacked up. Mine is a skewbald DWBxTB

We have a yearling colt by him, and he is a real cool dude. We loaded him into a trailer and turnes him out for the summer two weeks ago, and he took it all in his stride!
I don't think Hillview Farm Fleetwood is from the same stud, there is Hillviewfarm prefix and Hillview Farm ( I can't just remember which one is Milligan with checking!)
I can assure that Speedy is going to be huge (he is about 14.2hh just now!)

I think it is the same stud - based in Dorset - had originally coloured horses and stood Plato - then moved to Irish draughts. There is a Hill View stud - based in Ireland and a Hillview Farm stud based in Sherborne Dorset

No, Hillviewfarm Milligan stands in Lancs:

HILLVIEWFARM MILLIGAN Bay (16.3) 1994
Sire: Rakish Paddy Dam: Monivea Grey Rose by Grey Macha
Owner: Mrs G Mitchell, Heaton Lodge, Narrow Moss Lane, Scarisbrick, Ormskirk, Lancashire L40 8HZ

I have seen him, he is a big boy and lovely with it.

I have a homebred 3yr old graded RID filly by him. She currently stands around 16hh and is out of a 16.2hh RID mare so I expect her to make a good 16.2hh. I've never forced her on with youngstock rations and she lives out unrugged all year. She is the friendliest horse I've ever had, follows you around like a labrador, just wants to be with you. She is pretty unflappable and should be a doddle to break in. Unfortunately despite having backed numerous youngsters I'll have to pay for her to be done as I'm recovering from a major spinal op so hubby won't let me risk it. Have advertised her for sale in the past but she's one I really think will make the ideal horse for me once she's been out and about. Milligan really stamps his purebred stock and they have an aptitute for dressage as well as being damn good jumpers

I have a 3 year old chesnut filly by hillview farm milligan out of a throughbred mare. she stands at 16hh at the moment but hoping for her to make 16'2/16'3 she was veryeasy to back and very laid back about it. however she can be a handfull but i think this comes from the mares side.
she is a beautifull filly and has alot of bone and a very big bold presence.
