My horse loves the HH pink salt licks. My feed merchant didn't have any but did have the NAF equivalent. Both say they are 100% rock salt although the NAF one does not say the source.

My horse won't touch it! Any idea what the difference might be?

Ooh how weird! Maybe they're from different sides of the Himalayas?! :D

I've never had/met a horse that bothered with a salt lick until I met my loan mare. She devours them within a day!

All 5 of mine like them. Dennis (mentioned in post above) loves them. I get my girls the Simple Systems salt in a bucket one which I switch between stables as they tend to ignore it if its available all the time. However Dennis won't touch that one either!

Only one of mine will use the white salt blocks that you slide into a holder.

funny you say that - my NAF one disintegrated in the rain as it was out for so long
I use seaweed as a supplement and had 2 horses react badly to the NAF seaweed - both really itchy feet/legs and general irritation. All other seaweed has not had this affect on them.

Wow! Himalayan salt!! Must be good stuff, :D Lookn at all the horses that live on the Himalayas.:D:D:D:D Next it will be evian spring water for horses.
