Advice please, has anyone had a horse with hind check ligament injury.
My lad 17.2 m/w 18 year old did his back in August and been on box rest ever since + anti inflammatories. Scan at Christmas and healing well but not enough to start walking. I can't lead him out as he is a nutcase on the lead rope. It is hoped another scan on March 1st will show enough healing to commence walking under saddle.
I would be very grateful for any past experience of this fairly rare injury.
