Hind limb lameness, any ideas please?

My mare is lame on her off hind. I rode her this morning and she was absolutely fine but when I brought her in from the field tonight, she is about 5/10 lame. No swelling or obvious injury and she is normally tough and sound. Any ideas please...........

Think you will have to wait until the morning for some more "clues"!

Fingers crossed she is miraculously sound tomorrow or failing that, something nice and straight forward like gravel :)

Thank you, yes, fingers crossed for pus in the foot or even better a complete recovery!
 
I can never understand the asking of a question like that one here, alongside the vaguest possible description of symptoms.

Anyway, fingers crossed she is improved in the morning and it's something simple like an abscess.
