Has anyone got any ideas what hind limb lameness but only on a tight rein could be?? Hes reluctant to turn on one rein and slips on his hand feet. Could it be sacroilliac?? Hes been slipping on his hind feet for quite a while. But not sure why hes stiff on both reins in a tight circle and then he goes lame on his hind feet.

Hes 15 btw.

Could be bone spavin, my horse was like this with BS.

Circles are one of the worst things to do with a horse with BS. My horse had this aged 10 and it can be treated.

Its worth getting your vet out for.

Same as hellybelly .It can be diagnosed with flexation test .I have had surgery done on my horse for this condition and the vet was 99% sure as soon as he did flexation .I would speak to your vet before he slips over with you on board.Hope its not but they can come sound with treatment.
