After a busy competition day it was time for the "barefoot journey" to start.
Our trimmer came to do Muffin and Turnip, our other two very happy shoeless horsies, and we decided to take Belles hind shoes off.
She has been with us since just before xmas and came with all four shoes on. I didn't want to take them off straight away as I wanted to ride and enjoy her for a bit before possibly having to give her some time in case she would not take to shoeless life.
Any way they were taken off and given a nice trim and even though they are not perfect yet, they look so much better already and she walked off happy as larry!
Today we did a small session and she was moving very very well as ever without any issues. Hopefully she will stay as happy and we can take the front ones at the end of the summer.

Just be aware that trimming the frog and bars can make horses footy.
