Hello all,

Hoping to pick your brains a bit. I have a 15yo ISH who has had longstanding mild hind PSD due to front foot issues (of which I wont go into) and back in August sustained bilateral tears (both branches) to his R hind suspensory in the field. Swelling was all around the fetlock, completely different presentation to when he has had the PSD issues (which resolved with rest, INDIBA and managing front feet, thoracic sling work etc.). But USS showed the suspensory to be in generally not great condition, which is probably why he sustained the tears.
He has had box rest, and is currently undergoing a course of indiba and is now getting some turn out and is sound .. I'm planning on rehabbing him slowly and have no rush to return to ridden work. Previous to this he was hunting and jumping. I'd love to get him back to doing something even if he can't do his previous job, but the vet has been quite vague about long term prognosis but will most likely be a step down in level of work.

So if anyone has experience of similar I'd love to pick your brains about where to go from here with rehab, has anyone else had a horse with a hind suspensory branch tear, and if so, what is your horse doing now?
