When I was brushing Loki earlier I noticed he's somehow clunked his near hind hoof about midway up on the inside not sure how he managed it and it wasn't there yesterday

It looks like a very small horizontal piece of the wall has been knocked away - it's teeny, not even a half inch long and about a half centimetre wide if that.
I spritzed it with some antibacterial wash and could see it's not very deep, has no gunk in it, it's not weeping and his hoof doesn't feel hot.

Waited for antibacterial stuff to dry and popped some hoof repair/moisturising stuff on it but am wondering if it's something I should be worried about or if I should just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse or even if I should cover it to make sure no gritty dirt gets in there?

Thoughts please? :(

If it doesn't go through to the internal structures - then it'll be fine.

That is the wall's job - partial weight bearing and armour plating for the internal structures:)

Nope it's just the outer wall. Phew mini panic over! :D Have been second guessing myself all night
Thanks!
