hirelings......a ball park figure?

i went hunting last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. unfortunately twig has done a suspensory which is healing well but as the aim with her is to event im afraid she will be far to precious to take hunting.

so......hirelings. I have an idea they are a humoungous amount of money but could someone give me a ball park figure for say autumn hunting?? ta!

Most eventers take there horses hunting when they are young to help them go forward, it also helps them to let of some steam!

The rider of our eventer took her top horse worth 25k hunting to get him used to going in the mud, only followed the leaders when it was safe to do etc, had a great time and went out five times just because it was so much fun.

Hirelings in Shropshire are about £100

I see you are in yorkshire, who will you be hunting with?

ball park for this area is anything from £50 to £150 depending on who and where and when!!

Well last year I went with the york and ainsty south. Lovely bunch of people to look after a first timer. As I say, unfortunately only got out three times as Twig is full tb and i didnt want her running to light going into winter. We both had a great time though!

I'm just looking for something to enjoy a few mornings of autumn hunting so if anyone could put me in the right direction i would be grateful.
