Hi, a friend and I were thinking of hunting with a hunt that i reguarly hunt with. I have my own horse to hunt, but she does not and we were looking at hirelings. I asked Jill Carenza and she said it would come in at £210!!! bit steep!?! So does anyone have other ideas? anyone have a good, steady horse that jumps she could borrow in gloucestershire/oxfordshire area. Could be transported there etc. or anyone know of any other people who hire out in the cotswold/vwh/heythrop and surrounding areas? as £210 + cap etc. is Bl00dy expensive!!!!
oh and we know its in advance just want to work it all out

I imagine that is the going rate in the cotswolds. I've hunted down south for £200 a day. Hirelings are often completely worth it tho. You can sit back (literally), enjoy the day and jump anything and everything.

It doesnt seem too dear to me,and Im from a family who have provided hirelings for the last 30 years.
THere is a huge risk to your horse, anyone could be riding it over any going.
And it needs to be umber fit to cope with whatever is thrown at it. Which all takes time!
