Anyone know whether this is possible and if so what number to call? Tossing a coin between coombelands or firle (if its possible) for a xc schooling session on sunday - really want something with some testing BE fences, intro and PN at least, something to test one of our ponies over to see whether he's going to be up to the job of affiliating soon.

Many thanks

Emily

Firle is not open to school round-half the fences that they use for the HT are portable, so while there is a basic course there, its alittle rusty and over-grown! Plus its used for year round grazing-so its dodge the lamb at the moment! It should be open for schooling after the BE event there for 3 days after-£25 to hire out.
BE event web page
Also the Coakham Bloodhounds hold a clear-round xc day the weekend after the BE event as well.
See here!

So, Coombelands is your best bet as open to hire-£25 a horse. Good mix of well built, intro and PN fences-big water, a corner, coffin, trakenher etc.
Coombelands

As Paris08 said Firle is only open for schooling 3 days after the event. Coombelands is open all year I think and it's a lovely course. Also, Brightling will probably be open for the rest of the summer after the event, it's usually £15 per horse.

Coombelands it is then - I've never been there to ride, only for a 'landrover experience day' during which one of the most exciting aspects was the fact there was a cross country course!! Any other suggestions for places to go for some big BE fences? We're in need of a proper 'jump into' water as well...

Coombelands have a proper jump in-very good water 'complex'!
Depending on how far you are prepared to travel-Tweseldown is excellent but for us down south is about 2hrs. But really good facilities and superb going. Lots of jumpies in and out of the water too!

yey!! Coombelands it definately is then!! Yeah I've seen a video of the Tweseldown water complex and it looks really good, but I think I'll do that trip when I've got an entire free day, this sunday i'm hoping to do unaff jumping at felbridge before tootling off to do xc practice as well... busy girl!!

Oh the other place I keep seeing pics and vids of is stilemans - any opinions? Who do i contact for that?
