Okay, going xc schooling quite regularly at the moment due to the lack of hunting and therefore adrenaline rushes!! Have done all the hunter trial courses round here and have gone down to Coombelands and Brightling, and really now just wanting something a bit more... scary!! Brightling was really fun as there were all the big fences, so I guess I'm just looking for something similar - a BE course with more than Intro & PN fences, that hires out to the public. Any ideas? We're near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, and happy to drive an hour or so....

I'd love to go to tweseldown and its definately an option, was just wondering whether any of the other BE courses round here that may be a little closer open to the public...

I've heard of Stilemans and Munstead (I'm not an eventer so I don't know much I'm afraid!!) - where are they?

having just spent the last 18 months before may living right there i am afraid tweasel down and brightling are your lot! we ended up going all teh way to a place i know near newbury on a couple of occasions just for a bigger course and a change of scene!!

hi IM!

lodge farm, matfield - although dont think its BE and prob too small for you then in which case. they looked pretty big to me! i would have thought they were intro level height

no hunting is making me sad :-( im trying to revert to SJ for something to do - and even having a crack at W&T dressage test but my pony is the same as yours and really is not cut out for dressage!!

take some pics of wherever you go !!

ive got indoor eventer trials this weekend and next but would rather be hunting :-(
if F&M movement ban is still in place by xmas we are going to go out with the warlingham mock hunts nov and boxing day just to get our speed rush!!

Hi vicki!!
I know I'm needing a speed fix too!! We'll be out with Warlingham in November if only to jump the hedges at Warren Barn!! So irritating, I've really got my confidence back (I kept falling off at one of the mock hunts back in march and it really dented my confidence - although the bottle of port was I think the real problem, not me or my pony!!) and I've been doing lots of open hunter trials in an attempt to get my speed/jumping fix, but its just not quite enough!! I need that feeling of not knowing whats on the landing side and not knowing whats coming next which you only get from hunting

How's your pony coming along?

Emily

Will probably see you in november then!!
She's doing great thank you ive been trying to sort our schooling out and we can now canter an almost totally balanced 20m circle in the school without any hissy fits or meltdowns so thats a big achievement!!
my 5 year old niece is riding her now too and she's being very good with ehr so fat touch wood, not bad seeing as she isnt a child pony at all!!

i just need some hunting speed to bring my confidence back up !! i seem to forget that i CAN do it and can jump bigger jumps etc! i suppose the adrenaline gets you going!!
