Hiring Tow Cars

Hi
Is it possible to hire a car for towing? I don't think I will go out enough to justify buying a car for towing but could borrow/hire a trailer and wondered if any of the hire companies do suitable cars with tow bars. I would be looking for something in the Newcastle area.

I've never hired a 4WD myself, but I found these when I googled:

I looked at this and very few places do them and they are usually vans or pick-ups. Some ask that you cover it with your own insurance also. I found it easier to get a 3.5 tonne lorry.
