Had a conversation with my farrier the other day, and we have decided to take my cobs shoes off when he next comes!

My last horse could have shoes put on and taken off as and when he needed, he was always sound and never needed a transition period in between.

I don't see any reason why my cob wouldn't be the same, he has good feet and has never had shoes on the back.

This means that we will soon be treeless and shoeless!

Any last minute tips/advice!?

at first read of the title i thought 'stick 'em back on!' but then thought you may be serious ;) only tips i can give is barefoot horses are more prone to bruising i think so watch out for that and for hot & dry spells like we had in summer then soak in water or they'll crack and be very painful :)
