Don't know if you remember, but a few months ago I posted a cc thread for my mare. The subject changed to the fact my horse is registered as deceased on NED and Wetherbys, and all sorts of worrying things were suggested, eg she's a different horse, an insurance write off, etc. Just to add to the worry I found out that the dealer I got her from (a certain Kent woman) was notoriously dodgy.
After lots of research and a mircochip/markings check we found out that; she is the correct horse, she was sent to the knackers yard as she showed no promise in racing, she was bought (stolen?) by the dealer, came over to England and then my bf and I bought her.
So that was a relief that she was the horse her passport described. However we were still worried about the fact that the majority of horses from this dealer had either come up lame or had to be PTS, so she had a 5* vetting/pre eventing check up today and...
I'm very releaved to say that she passed
The vet also said she had an exeptional canter and balance for a horse that came out of racing 6 months ago
So now that's all sorted we're going to continue with her training, take things slowly, and hopefull will have a lovely eventer this time next year. I think we have been very, very lucky, and I will definatly make sure I do a really thorough check if I ever buy another horse.
Thanks for reading
