A long shot but surely worth a try!
I bought Quin May last year. He is a bay TB gelding with a blaze, 2 white socks behind and white on off fore pastern. He is 9.
I bought him from a lady in Cleadon, Sunderland who's contact details I have lost.
I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has known this horse no matter how vague or small the information is you can offer.
Many thanks

It was a long shot but I know this horse! I had him for a weeks trial about 2 1/2 years ago but had to give him back to the owner (in Guisborough at that time) as he failed the vet. Such a stunning horse but not a good idea to buy a 6 year old that failed the vetting-I was gutted. If you'd like to know more about the vetting and other info I have, PM me. I'd be really interested to know how he's getting on-I've often wondered about him-looks like he was sold to someone in Cleadon after me and then on to you. Weird he ended up in Cleadon after me as I live there and never realised!

Hi - just come across this post - I owned Quintoto for about 9 months some time ago, probably sold him on to the lady in Cleadon you mention. I got him from a lady in Guisborough so presumably bought him after he had failed her vetting (I didn't get him vetted). He was a super horse - bred at Highclere Stud and owned by Sheik Maktoum - he raced 9 times and won at Brighton on his last race. He was then sold at York for 50,000 guineas the year before I bought him for £1k. He was my first horse and a total gent with me - hacked him as a novice rider for 9 months but as summer was around the corner I couldnt see myself doing pleasure rides on him and this was borne up by the fact my husband took him across a field one day when another horse was jumping a line of fences and he could not hold him - and if he couldn't hold a horse then I sure couldnt as husband was a hunting man. So I sold him to a lady in Sunderland area who didn't even want to try him - I was reluctant at the time but my husband drove him to the livery yard she was to keep him at and made sure they would look after him. I since heard he bucked her off and she then starved him practically to keep him quiet and he then went on to be rescued by someone - possibly lady in Cleadon - then he was sold to a girl at Castleside. I saw him there and he was not well bless him - lots of ailments and too ill to be ridden. Very sad. He was absolutely brilliant at looking after me.....

HI just come across your post after all this time - I went on to buy Quintoto from the lady in Guisborough but I think he was 9 by then - Ex race horse - raced 9 times and won at Brighton, sold for 50,000 guineas by Sheik Makhtoum a year prior to me buying him.... (found all this out after I bought him!!) I was a novice rider and Quin was my first horse - I loved him - he totall looked after me when we hacked out but he couldn't be stopped in open fields apparent (my husband tried and he is a hunting man!). Would be very interested to know why he failed the vetting? I sold him to someone in Sunderland area who did not treat him well and he then went to Cleadon as a rescue case I believe - then on to a yard in Consett area where I saw him last - very sorry state and lots of illness - kissing spine, broken legs, etc etc - in a lot of pain but the girl won't have him put down until the Vets declare its necessary. £35k worth of vets bills so far apparently!
