I've been looking at Hit Air recently as very interested in buying an air jacket. Although I know 'you can't put a price on safety', I'm still on a very limited budget and need to get the cheapest I can!

Tried the equestrian one on at Blenheim and was really impressed with the coverage. Asked the rep whether there was any difference between the horse ones and the motorbike ones and basically, there's no difference at all.

Now, the horse one does weigh slightly less but the bike one offers the same coverage when inflated and is considerably cheaper, also it is legal to use in the horse world.

Has anyone got a bike one and use it for riding??

I also would like to know as I was looking at getting the bike one a few years ago as hit air used to sell this as equine use. You can get them for about £200, big saving! I wonder if they use the same saddle attachment?

It's the same saddle attachment so no need to buy anything extra. Done a bit of research and it's about 0.5kg heavier than the horse one but I think I can cope with that to sAve £200!

I have the motorbike one, bought second hand on eBay from a lady giving up biking.
It's fab, not too heavy, hiviz yellow so dual purpose, even a little mobile phone pocket

compared to a BP its not heavy to wear, doubt you would notice after five minutes
justbe careful of sizes a remember that they are designed to be worn OVER leathers so come up bigger than ou might think
