Just wondering which make of high viz people wear over their air jackets. I cant seem to find one which would accommodate the inflated air jacket.

In summer I wear a tabard, in winter I have a building site foreman's coat. Both are too big for me & I cannot imagine a Hit Air going off under either would cramp my style very much.

Daughter wears Hi Viz under hers - jacket in winter and t-shirt/hoodie in summer - always visible.

I solved the problem by buying a hi viz Hit Air!

As long s the sides are elastic or can otherwise give way it isn't an issue. You have to put your cross country number tabard over them after all!!

Our Hit Air vests are worn over our clothing. Because of the Hit Air vest's design some Hi Viz can still be seen from various angles.

We have Hi Viz jods too. Plus we have Hi Viz leg and arm bands with LEDs, hat bands, saddle cloths, exercise rugs, leg wraps and neck straps. All in our matching colour.

I also have a stirrup light.

If you got a fairly flimsy one with a zip or velcro fastening i think u would find the inflalted air jacket would tear it anyway due to the pressure or at least thats what im hoping if ever mine goes off as i have a polite notice tabard over the top. In the winter i wear a long sleeved fleece jkt and put the air jkt over the top of it.

Thanks I bought a tabard today which has elasticated sides with adjustable velcro straps which wrap towards the back. They are sold to wear over air jackets, so I am hoping that I am sorted. Needed one to go over as I like people to see the PLEASE PASS WIDE AND SLOW.

My concern is that as the air vest neck inflates, it does so with an outwards and up motion. A tabard neckline won't accomodate that so the tabard may stretch and lift up with it.

Hope it works for you.

I wear an equisafety one over the top or underneath, the equisafety has velcros that would undo if it inflated. If wearing underneath then I usually have a hi vis exercise sheet or hat band / other reflective gear on too.
