HKM Boots

Have got HKM madrid boots - had a pair September 2011 - worn practically everyday for all yard duties and totally abused! Still useful as a spare pair. Treated myself to the New Madrid winter boots with furry lining for this Winter - nice and warm, look good - only slightly miffed as because of the furry lining makes the a little "snug" with jeans tucked in - doable but only just! (I have chunky calves though!!!!)

I had a pair of the riding style muck-boot type wellies (bought because they were virtually the same as the Muck-Boot Tyne, but less than half the price). Now, I like my Muck-Boot Tynes - but I liked the HKM boots too - and they actually lasted about 6 months longer then the Muck-Boots usually do for me (with regular abuse). Have bought Muck-Boot Tynes again this time, but only because I couldn't find the same model from HKM again :-( If I could find them, I'd definitely buy again!

Both myself and my daughter bought a pair of the HKM Kodiak thermal yard boots last winter - total waste of money! Both pairs of boots split within the month and they leaked dreadfully even before they split. Wouldn't buy another pair of these though I cant speak for any of their other range.

Honestly they both split? Thats bad!

I think their quite well priced compared to dubarry and ariat and theyre going to be an Xmas present of my dad so don't want to spend loads of money! Lol

Yes both pairs split. The bottom 'waterproof' bit is a rubber like material and not very hardwearing. We didn't abuse the boots and we were quite disappointed with them. They cost about £35 per pair so not 'really' cheap!

If its the Kodiak boots that you were looking at, I would advise you to have a look for something else, but thats just my opinion!
