My pony club DC just rang me' and said a hunts man has a 15hh horse for loan over the summer, and said it will be fab for me as it's a show jumper. Mum says great but she doesn't think we have enough time for two or much grazing. We have 1 acre of land plus half an acre rented but there are two ponies already using it and another one too? Seeming as it's over the summer we won't have it for the winter so that would be a bonus. Plus I want to take gypsy to camp but he has a tendency to run off but I really want to take him.
Any ideas? Thanks

Having the time and enough grazing are serious considerations if you are to do justice to the horse and your own. Would it be possible to ride the horse a few times a week while it stays where it is ?

I would say that you may not have enough grazing for 2 horses. So long as you're sure you have the time for 2 horses then can you not ride the other horse from the owners yard?

Also I'm not sure if I want to sell gypsy and just loan a horse over the summer? He didn't sell last year but we might put him up for loan :/ really now sure anymore :(
