Right, rode Mr M on Sat afternoon, when I turned him back out, he obviously went trotting off to his field mates and then was sniffing the new filly over the fence in the neighbouring field, stood wishing his tail, neck arched had quick grunt and flirt etc and then......

Squirted

if that is the right way to describe it.

Yes two short blasts sprayed out, now before anyone asks, no I didn't get to see what state his ermmm tackle was in at the time because it all happened very quickly and it was not an area I was particularly paying attention to

. I just saw and heard this spray shoot out from underneath him and because he had a light weight rug on, so I could t really see under his belly if you see what I mean, so I'm not sure if it was out and well you know....stood to attention or if it wasn't out, because if it was out and just well....floppy I'm sure I'd of noticed it. (sorry this quite embarrassing explaining this, please do bare with me and try to keep a straight face if you can!).

Now he'd had a long wee in the school when I was riding him, about 15 minutes before I turned him back out, so its not like he was having a wee because when he does wee he does what all horses do, squats, leg in each corner and relieves himself in the usual manor.

My dad said it may be a bit of an after effect of this jab he's had, making him a little incontinent when he gets excited, I'm going to ring the vet today to discuss this just to see what he says.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this with either their randy geldings, rigs or indeed stallions for that matter.

Will be hard to type now, having startched and ironed face, plus a couple of Botox injections just in case

Have to say, not heard of this

. Will be interested to read peoples resonses (so long as they more useful than mine lol).

LOL what are you like Mrs M *rolls eyes*

Thing is, how on earth do I explain this to the vet, without sounding like a complete muppet?, a male vet as well, I tried putting in a polite way on here without being rude.

Suggestions on a postcard please.

Ok the best advice when talking to the vet is to keep it 'technical' and use medical terminology - if you start using words like squirt and floppy you start giggling. Trust me I spend my days talking about embarrassing things and being 'serious and medical' is the only way to hold it together!!

Giggling aside I hope it just because the injection hasn't really kicked in yet.

That's the trouble you see, I not very good at being technical and I get all stutter and say all the wrong things, specially when I have an office full of non horsey folk listening to me who think the whole thing totally hilarious anyway

I think, like Slinky, you have to detach your self from the explanation, if that makes sense?

Don't say "squirt" say "discharge", stick to "erection" not "don't know if it was stiff or not"!!!!! and ask if it is normal!

BTW I know that you've had the injection for him, and I'm really interested in the results, as I was offered this for our gelding. Bear in mind that as an unregistered drug, the vet probably won't know the precise side effects.

Best of luck, and keep us informed!!!!

You need to use the words ejaculate instead of squirt and erect instead of floppy - that should cover the incident!!

Good luck!!

Try and give your work mates on of those 'Don't be so childish' looks and whatever you do don't look at any of them when talking to the vet as you will crack up.....

fs and SU

Ok thanks guys, right I shall compose one's self and do it at lunch time, there will be fewer bodies in the office then, hopefully will be out at lunch if its sunny and not sat at their desks tucking into their sarni's

The joys of horses eh.

I think I'll take up knitting instead.

Its quite normal stallion behaviour, as far as I'm aware, to pee small amounts after a mare has flashed him. It will usually be where the mare has been...
Penis won't necessarily be erect

Arh right, well that does explain things then and I did wonder that but because I've never seen him do it before I wasn't sure if he should or shouldnt be doing it considering the current situation.

Thank you
