I'm in a bit of a horsey dilemma...help please!! I have a 14 year old daughter, competing at elementary, and is looking to move up a level, but for her lovely 15hh mare it will be a step too far. Is it better to make her stay at elementary and just have fun at pony club for a while, or to make the jump to a bigger horse that she could go up the grades with? I'm torn as we have only had her current horse for a year! She is very focused on dressage wants to improve...any opinions please!!! Thanks :)

Did you have a chat with her trainers or instructors at PC? I love them to enjoy PC and do the fun stuff, but you can't force them! The horse will probably get outgrown soon, so she is going to have to go at some point...

Where are you? You might be able to find someone with a horse capable of doing the higher levels but the rider isn't interested & would be happy to have someone else train / compete for them. You could keep your horse for Pony Club activities & have a share / ride on another horse just for dressage.
