Any thoughts? RIGHT at the top of my budget though (well probably about £3k over my budget if I am sensible

No, no, you are meant to be putting me off here

I expect he will be snapped up today..

If he is the one I think he is (having looked on BE) I am thinking that maybe he does not have enough BE experience for me - I need a schoolmaster

He has been with a pro so may not be 100% straight forward if that is what you are looking for...

(he is nice though!)

Thankyou KatB, that is what I was trying to tell myself

I need something nice and simple I fear...

Looks nice. Only thing I woud say is that he sounds small build - I do not know you or your size etc- advert mentions that he is suitable for a junior/ lightweight rider quite a few times.

Other than that he looks lovely.

Have you thought about putting up a wanted advert up on HQ?

I'm beginning to think I might do that - although I was just saying to another HHOer I am also beginning to think I might be being a bit fussy

How odd, I found a nice schoolmaster type in H&H magazine but he is not online, perhaps he has been sold already!

Is it just me that thinks these horses are soo expensive?!!

Guess if you're looking for a schoolmaster to take you round eventhng then you're going to have to pay BUT if you're wanting to event at BE levels then surely you'd be able to bring a youngish horse that's done a bit (say a couple of PN) and is showing promise (and jumps clean SJ!). Nearly £9K seems a lot when it doesn't really even seem to have done that much and from what others say (i haven't looked) doesn't sem to be consistent in the SJ.

Keep your money in your pocket I'd say!!!

I think its to expensive for an over grown pony club pony!! Remember it still is technically only going PN.

And as i always say they break just as easily if you pay 1k or 10k. I know how much i would prefer to lose!

There is one which I prefer in H&H but it isnt online - it has done 2* but is now looking for an Intro/PN home so I assume it has broken somehow, or has got p***ed off with eventing! It is only £5750, my kind of price

What happened about the coloured you went to see? (I think it was coloured)

I don't know much about eventing etc but it does seem a bit overpriced for what it is. I'd want a bit more horse for that money.

Other than that I like him.

Sadly the coloured was not for me, and reinforced my realisation that I need a nice kind schoolmaster (nothing against the coloured one, he and I just didnt click!)

I shall go back to the drawing board on this one then
