Well E had a *****ty tail today, no idea whats brought it on  Shes been on haylege now for about 2/3 weeks, havent changed her diet at all and they have been in for the last two days due to weather  K doesnt have it and they both get fed the same, she get slightly more due to being bigger. I havent changed their feeds as I need to wait until payday and feed shopping day before I do anything :)

Also tried out my new fence energiser :D E got a cracking zap from it and ran back into her stable ;) My dad got me it its a Cow/Livestock energiser so stronger than a horse one and the bang it made gave K a scare as well. He stayed well away from it after she fried herself ;)

I turned up this morning to a very messy mare aswell!! Just poured out of her? But her other droppings over night were fine and normal.. Was odd.. Showed my YM and she said not to worry about it because it can happen when they get a bit excited (we were about to go for a ride) was odd though!

It could really be anything, i have not and would not worry over a runny bum once or for one day. If it persists for a couple of days then maybe try to figure out what's going on, but she could have just been a bit stressed over night.

You say she has been in for the past two days. Have you fed her hayledge in the day aswell due to her being in??
If so could possibly be because she has had a larger quantity of rich forage.

This is what I was thinking. The haylage will be richer than the grass she was getting.
