Local show next week for a bit of fun. Taking the grey baby [Albeit just for a mooch if nothing else! Shall decide on the day whether to enter him or not as will be his first show/time out anywhere] and my lad B.
Stuck for what to enter him in though! I can't really, in all honesty be bothered with showing classes with him *shockhorrorgasp!*, as he's kicked up a few [obvious]knocks and scrapes on his legs.
But there is a Racehorse to Riding horse class at the end of the day...so I may take him in that as we pulled a 3rd overall out of it last year....so may have another go! But riding horse, there's no point really...we're fine until confo and then they'll notice his legs, so yeah...
Anyway. I'm letting the girl who shares him do the horse and hound on him,pending on if he behaves [only 1ft6 so nothing over exertive] and offered a friend to take him to do a dressage test also...so I've limited myself to 2 classes on him for the day.
So, jumping classes I'm contemplating:
CLASS 2 OPEN INTERMEDIATE
Jumps approximately 2'6" first round.
CLASS 3 3' OPEN
Jumps approximately 3' first round.
CLASS 4 3'6" OPEN
Jumps approximately 3'6" first round
I'm torn between doing the 2'6 for a 'warm up' type round and then doing the 3' after.....OR going straight in the 3' and then posibly [if I'm feeling brave/drunk enough] entering the 3'6 after.
Or. If they're doing the chase-me-charlie as a puissance type wall like he last show round here....doing the 3ft and then doing the chase me charlie. But I'd have to see on the day to how they're setting the chasemecharlie up. If it's just a standard pole upright, then no point in that as we'll knock it down more than likely.

Usually it's just riding horse or hunter class and Racehorse classes I'll end up entering like last year....only decided to showjump him at our last show the other week and came out with quite good results! Placed in the 2'9 and double clear jump off. I cocked up the bigger round we did though and had a few down, but this time I won't take checks where I don't need to and shall leave him to it lol I promise!
