As title really! Just working out wether its worth buying a little box (wont be using it very often) or wether it would just be better to hire a box or trailer as and when needed.
Ho much does it cost to hire trailer or horsebox?

I think we pay about £185 for 2 days for a 3.5tonne
We have a 7.5tonne but are looking for 3.5 as our horses travel much better in one!

Trailer's usually £40 a day, but then possible cost of needing something to tow it etc.
Lorry's start from £95 a day round here, or the transport people usually charge £1 per mile
I'd say if you go out and bout every week/other week, then it's easier having your own. Even a little 3.5 tonner or something...not cheaper short term once you add insurance/mot or plating/etc on it plus initial price, but much more easier than constantly booking and collecting hired onesup! Plus can keep all your 'outing' stuff on it if it's yours, as I always forget stuff in hired ones and sorting everything in and back out at the end is a bore!
