Looking for advice on my own hooves, not the horse's...
I have size 7 feet, with narrow heels but rather wide at the toes thanks to lots of running and other high impact activities. I also have limited mobility in my ankles due to a combination of genetics and injuries.
I went to buy jodhpur boots at my nearest large equestrian shop and found that all the stock was stacked on a well-above-head-height set of shelves. Trying boots on involved asking the one over-worked assistant to climb up a ladder, carefully extract the box from the middle of a massive pile, climb down and hand over the box. Repeat for the next pair. Being not good in social situations, and surrounded by judgy horse mums, I bought the first pair that more-or-less fitted, and fled.
These boots are (cr*p) not really suitable and my feet are (********d) quite sore.
Can anyone recommend a brand of short boots that are wider than average across the forefoot, preferably with a reasonably solid sole or a shank?
Thank you.
