I love felting. The animals you make have such a lovely feel to them.
I was going to load a photo of a guinea pig I made; it was supposed to be a pear but it wanted to be a guinea pig so that is what I made.... but thankfully I was told the photo was too large to load! 😂

I do needle felting quite alot but not done any horses just yet...mine have been dogs and birds plus portraits

Ooh must mention Heather Jansch, many of you will know her work (esp if you have been to the Eden Project.)
Many people imitate her style - but they are not achieving anything like this standard. The lines in her work are perfect!

I've been felting for a while now, and would say it's fairly easy to learn how to do it, although you should expect your fingers to be spiked on a regular basis! There are many good tutorials on youtube to watch, if you wanted to get an idea of how it works.
I've made many horses and here are some of them, in one pic

What I really like about working with wool, is you are not restricted to 3D, you can 'paint' with it also.
