Minimum £2,500 provided nothing went wrong. Thats a current (three weeks ago) Cheshire price for a top class specialist equine surgeon, not just a horse vet who does a bit of surgery. Be careful with your anaesthetist, the death rate from general anaesthesia alone (never mind any surgery or illness) is 1 in 100 but the best ones have a much better record than that.

OMG I will definately be letting the vet school try the laser one first as they are quoting £250. I had no idea it was that expensive

I just got my vet bill for my horses Tieback and hobday op which he had at Newmarket Equine Hospital in June 2010. It has cost me just over £1800
