Hock Arthroscopy

Hi

My yearling is due to have a hock arthroscopy tomorrow, just wondering if anybody's horse has had one and what the outcome was.

Mine had it in the stifle. She has OCD and early onset osteo arthritis (age 11). They cleaned up what they could. She had something like 6 weeks box rest following surgery, then another several months field rest. She has come back in to work slowly and now nearly a year on, she's in about half the work she'd been doing before - and sound enough. The prognosis was about a 50% chance of coming completely sound and stay that way for a few years. Not the best outcome, but she's happy enough.
