What are your opinions on these. My horse is feeling his hocks so that he warms up stiff and then is fine. He is not lame but I am not convinced that he wouldn't be if nerve blocked on one. My vet is very much we can just medicate his joints if spavins. What is everyones experience of injections?

Hock injections seem to very much depend on the horse. Mine got referred to glasgow where they injected his hocks after diagnosing bone spavin. He got 1 week box rest, 2 weeks walking in hand then started ridden work at walk. The first week of ridden work he seemed quite sound but then went downhill after that. I am now able to do more but he gets danillon to keep him comfortable. Still not 100% sound though.

My friend whos horse is older got diagnosed with bone spavin recently too and got injections is going really well. He seems quite sound.

I think the hock injections are the first point of call. I have to wait till spring now to see if my horse can have any more treatment.
