Just that! We are 6months in and it’s growing lavishly but still pointing skyward. Her neck hood makes the lower half sit down nicely, but the upper neck region is still Mohawk style. Would a hood/ balaclava type thing work? Or try stable plaits? And how to blend in the bluntness of the ends , if/when it does lie over someday? How long does all of this take to grow? Would like to hear your experiences!

Yeah I think I just waited (hogged welsh D) he then had it long for a good while so by the time I pulled it again it laid well.

I have the best photo of my daughter and her horse, who I hogged thinking he was cob enough, he wasn’t. He looked terrible.
They are just coming off the course after a team chase and they both look amazing, he looks fabulous, happy buzzy just amazing….
Apart from the 6” Moho 😂😂

Once it's long enough, plait it, and seing as it's still winter (sort of) if it's cold enough, send her out in the field with a full rug, to 'conpress' and flatten the plaits, that's how I do it anyway x

I did the same with a rug. I grew it until it was long enough to lie over if you pushed it, then put a neck rug on top of it (it was winter by then). That kept it flattened down and it grew nicely.

I find brushing forward when it gets to the neither one thing or the other stage is useful. It seems to go from that to lying correctly before you know it.
