Arrived nice and early to get a good parking space, May was fairly chilled.

Did the first couple of gallops round the field, May was extremely strong! She was'nt too bad up round Rivington Pike until way up the track when we had another gallop, completely lost my brakes and only just managed to pull her up when I was level with the Hunt Master  Apologised profusley and headed back after that!!

I had planned on going back after that bit anyway as I knew it would be really boggy up on the moor, so had a good 2.5hrs out, shame she spoilt that last bit!

But there were quite a lot of over excited horses, and she was not the worst behaved - One Chestnut Mare took off, galloped under some trees, decked its rider and went and jumped staight into the rivington Pike lake thing!!!!!

She jumped in after it and swum back out of the lake with it  Horse arrived back at its box a bit shivery but otherwise non the worse for its ordeal.

Another pony reared and went over backwards with its rider, luckily she got out of its way.

An eventful day - Would have liked to take some video footage but needed two hands on the reins!

Camera was set to vid instead of camera! Ooops!

The report says horse slipped on the ice and they both went in together? Sounds horrendous whatever happened. The pics look awful too. Glad they both got out ok. It's lucky they didnt get hypothermia or worse. I think it would put me off hunting though!!

So did the horse deck her and run and jump in? It certainly did'nt slip! The lady I headed back with saw her jump in after it. Thank god they are both OK, I don't think I would have jumped in!
