After Farrier dug hole in his foot to drain the abcess, and after a week of poultice etc, what to put in the hole to stop dirt getting in when you haven't time to get to the tack shop, available from any chemist, temporary tooth filling 
, worked a treat, been in about 2 weeks, had a trim from farrier on Wednesday ,and it's still in, gonna keep one handy for another time

old and grumpy, with numerous aches and pains at nearly 69, still riding regularly, as get to ride two friends horses now my lad is retired
