Chloe just got attacked by a badger. All her nose is scraped up. I went mental and dragged her out by her tail, dread to think what might have happened if she'd been on her own and I hadn't been near :( and thank god Brax wasnt with me!!

Not 100% sure cos was in v v dense Grassland type stuff but she didn't go right down inside a hole anyway. Scary stuff.

Badgers can be vicious.
Me and my ex got charged by one in the dusk one night when we were up checking his pheasants, it actually galloped towards us grunting and then stopped when it realised we were a great deal bigger than he was.
Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself and a few nights later a few of them broke into the pens and killed a load of the poults, took and ate very few, if any at all, just killed them.

CC badgers have very poor eyesight, yes they are great opportunists and apart from the car one of the reason hedgehogs are in decline.

They are a protected animal and anyone disturbing a sett is liable to prosecution.

Cedar sorry forgot to say hope your dog is ok, probabley stumbled into a badger and now she knows what they can do wll give them a wide berth.
