Just taken dogs into kennels prior to hospital and the house is so empty! I got given the look when I left them which made me feel even worse.
Whenever Ive gone away in the past dogs have gone in about two hours before Ive gone on holiday etc so no empty house. Im still talking to them as well!

I don't understand the term 'lonely' when it comes to people. I never miss people. If there were no people at all, my response would be 'meh'.

As long as there are dogs.

Take dogs away and I don't know what to do with myself. My big boy went in for his teeth to be fixed before we got our pup, and I was utterly bereft for 8 hours until we could be reunited. It was the longest, most boring and awful day ever. I talk to my dogs a lot, when I find talking to people quite tiring by comparison!

From experience I suggest roaming sadly around the house, looking into different rooms, and sighing a lot until they are home.

Its difficult and strange especially when your used to them being around. Try and keep your mind occupied lots of organizing cooking cleaning. Prepare for the road ahead PL I'll be thinking about you tomorrow x

I totally get it though, even when just one dog is missing. When my Pippa burst her spay stitches and had to go back in to be operated on, I just sat at home moping. Rupert the spanner really didn't know what to make of me LOL
