As title really has anyone made there own? Looking at one for my boy but all the ones I have seen are quite expensive any ideas greatly recieved. Thanks

I have!

I got these

http://www.equimagnets.co.uk/equima...rug-kit-with-free-pair-of-equibands-136-p.asp

instead of sewing the individual velcro in i got 2 long strips of velcro and sewed them down either side of the rug (from back to front either side of the spine) and i can then move the magnets to where ever i want them.

I just sewed mine onto a waffle cooler

(just remembered i got mine of ebay, same company but their ebay shop (a bit cheaper i think!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/equimagne...h=item53ef89bc90*rt=nc*_trksid=p2047675.l2562

Well he injured his thigh last year and was quite lame (walk and trot lame and then if something spooked him in the field he would canter away on 3 legs eeek!) He had one session of physio (non invasive physio which included pulsed magnets) and then i used the rug as often as i could (you can only leave on for 12 hours really then you need another 12 off) and i moved the magnets all around the injured area (stifle down to thigh) He was definitely less stiff when moving after the magnets had been on, as if they had warmed the muscles up ready for movement if that make sense. (You can definitely feel heat in the area after you remove the magnets)

I know some people think magnets have no effect and are just a marketing/money making gimmic but they seem to work for Charlie. I still use the rug now when travelling to lessons/ competitions.

Is it a specific problem your horse has or was it for improved performance?
