Just thought I'd let everyone know that the home visit on Tuesday went brilliantly. I've been looking for a 2nd rescue shetland for company for my 1st rescue shetland Molly, as well as to re-home in her own right. Found a perfect little darling in my local Horse & Pony Trust - tiny Lady is just 7.2hh and has a belly and bum just like Molly so they can share the specialist summer management that shetlands need, whilst still having company. Quite properly, I had to have a home visit/assessment on Tuesday to make sure I knew how to look after Lady and I was anxious how it would go. Well, what a wonderful Manager they have! Absolutely an inspiration. It was wonderful to spend hours talking and realising how much we have in common when it comes to horse welfare! Lady will be coming to her new foster home next week - stable's all ready now!!!! Will post some pix and news when she arrives. Happy happy day. I'll have 2 little rescued tinies and my wonderful 15.2 Section D x cob Sunny and my friend said I'm a herd now! Feel really privileged x
