Homemade magnetic bell boots!

Has anymore made any bell/hoof type boots for small pony with magnets. I'm thinking about making some in fleece or quilting (or something else!).
Does anyone out there have any ideas and where I can purchase the magnets from and what strength.
Would welcome any feedback - thanks.
