I'm sure I'm not the only one who's recently started thinking about this..! I've thought about it every winter for the last few years, but not knowing quite how to go about it has put me off. I am looking at these heaters https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_I...er_Exterior/index.html#Quartz_Heater_HEPA1300
With the idea of getting 2, and mounting either side of a stable. I just wasn't sure how high they would need to be to a) be effective without b) cooking the horse. The empty stable I have in mind, which would be easy to fit them too, has a ceiling which isn't that high (will have to measure, but guesstimating around 7-8 foot). As it would only be used for the solarium, not as a stable, I figured it would be ok to have them lower. I might be wrong. The other alternative is either side of the walkway in the middle of the barn, but that would be a bit annoying when other people want to get past.
In the first instance, can anyone tell me what sort of range this type of lamp has? As in, how high/far apart is ideal to be effective without being too hot?
p.s. this is just to dry off after baths, wouldn't be left on for longer than half an hour really.
TIA!
