Does anyone tow with one of these? I saw one at the weekend with a single horse trailer and wondering how it got on as I thought it could not tow at all.

I saw one on the front of an equi-trek once, I nearly PML, needless to say the back end was hanging a little low.

Yes we have one and we do tow, but only one horse. The towing weight is 1500kg, so 100kg trailer and 500kg horse. It's not perfect to be so close to the maximum towing weight but our trips are local and we take it easy.

What year is yours? Mine is 02 and the handbook says this vehicle is not designed to tow.

I loved the look of these and went to the dealership to buy one but was told they wouldnt be any good for towing a horse trailer, so bought a jeep instead.

Mine is 04, but had an 03 before. It says it tows 1500kg braked and the Honda dealer said it would be OK for a trailer and one horse, and the dealership fitted the towbar. In practice it tows nicely, it is a 4WD when it detects the need, and it seems to make less hard work of it than when I've been in a Land Rover. But obviously I wouldn't put more than one horse in. I don't know why your handbook says it doesn't tow, anything tows, even a bicycle, it's just the towing weight that's the issue.
