I have two of my own ponies, with other I train/show. One of mine is bright bay, the other liver chestnut. I have bought a teal saddle pad, ear bonnet, and have a matching jacket, gillet, base layer and hat silk for the bay. For the liver chestnut, I have a bright turquoise saddle pad, ear bonnet and hat silk. I have pledged to spend no more money this month/year/forever. I have just seen a matching bright turquoise base layer for sale for £12.50. This is not much, but it is a slippery slope. I've just bought a Shogun to tow them to all the lovely shows we will enter next year, hence the ban on spending anymore money ever (except for the trailer I will need to tow them to said shows).
Am I being cruel by not buying the base layer to match my liver chestnut pony? Will she feel unloved, neglected, because I have matching clothing for the bay? Please be honest, I can take it. In my (small) defence, I bought the bay before the chestnut, and so got a bit carried away with shopping.
