I have an amazing 13 year old grey 16 hand german bred Holsteiner gelding. Been there, done it all in Germany. but not yet competed in England. His blood line includes CAPITOL I, CAPITANO, ACOBAT I and LADYKILLER. Have been told Blood line is good but not really sure? Imported a few weeks ago and has been solely ridden, schooled, hacked and jumped by me (16 year old girl). Lovely paces, loves people and a poppet on the ground. Good to load, have feet trimed and tack up. Powerful backend and has scope to jump high, i don't have the facilities to jump over 3' but cleared it by miles, so i cant guite find his limit if there is one!! Tipical schoolmaster, don't ask properly, you don't get. Not competition fit at the moment but with fittening work would make teenagers showjumper or dressarge horse, an easy step up from ponies. Have had people badgering me for how much i would let him go for. Unfortunally he will have to go at the end of the holidays as have college commitments. So the question is... how much is he worth?

Thankyou..He is my dream horse but sadly college comes first.

Yer it is really but he was brought as a project for the summer and has turned out to be something amazing. I wont really have time for him next year either as have a 4 year old to bring on and show. My parents don't want me to loan him as they have heard horror stories of horses and ponies being dumped and left, if that did happen or for some reason the loaner couldnt keep him any longer i will have no space for him over the winter to come back and live with me.

I can see their point though.
